WHAT MATHEMATICS DO YOU TEACH OR USE IN YOUR WORK/LIFE? DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY? HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY TO HELP YOU?

I am teaching Maths D Year 7 (Form 1) this year total of 4 classes (3 normal class and 1 PMV class) about 82 students. The topic that i taught in my normal level are Real Numbers, Algebra, Measures and Money, Geometry and etc. While for my PMV class, i taught a very basic maths like whole numbers, fractions, decimals, measurement, geometry and statistic. I have to use different methods and handouts to teach the different level between normal classes and PMV class.

They are a range of students from excellent, good to poor. Some students are interested with Maths whereas some find maths difficult and boring. As a maths teacher, i have to make my lesson interesting and fun, creative thinking is also needed for preparing my lesson - handouts and exercises.

I also use maths in my daily life, for instance, recording of my daily expenses (finance), updating students marks (classwork, homework, tropical test, projects and assessment test), etc.

As for technology, of course we do use and need technology for our daily life to make our life easier. I use calculator to for teaching and for my personal used. Other than that i also used Microsoft Office to prepare my lesson plan, handouts, exercises and tests. I also visit several website for some maths activities and games for my students during lesson and CCA-Maths Club.
