Previously as a students, i don't like Maths nor Science subject. When i was moving up from each level to another level, i find the topic is getting tough and tougher.
As for maths is actually the easiest subject which can help us score marks because is more on calculation and numbers as long as we remember the formulas and steps taught or given.
Whereas for science (combined of Biology, Chemistry and Physic), i am always poor. No matter how i studied my science, i never score.
Although, i tend to score weak or poor marks, at the end i manage to get through my 'o' level and surprisingly i am a maths teacher now .. .. hehehe

WHAT MATHEMATICS DO YOU TEACH OR USE IN YOUR WORK/LIFE? DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY? HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY TO HELP YOU?
I am teaching Maths D Year 7 (Form 1) this year total of 4 classes (3 normal class and 1 PMV class) about 82 students. The topic that i taught in my normal level are Real Numbers, Algebra, Measures and Money, Geometry and etc. While for my PMV class, i taught a very basic maths like whole numbers, fractions, decimals, measurement, geometry and statistic. I have to use different methods and handouts to teach the different level between normal classes and PMV class.
They are a range of students from excellent, good to poor. Some students are interested with Maths whereas some find maths difficult and boring. As a maths teacher, i have to make my lesson interesting and fun, creative thinking is also needed for preparing my lesson - handouts and exercises.
I also use maths in my daily life, for instance, recording of my daily expenses (finance), updating students marks (classwork, homework, tropical test, projects and assessment test), etc.
As for technology, of course we do use and need technology for our daily life to make our life easier. I use calculator to for teaching and for my personal used. Other than that i also used Microsoft Office to prepare my lesson plan, handouts, exercises and tests. I also visit several website for some maths activities and games for my students during lesson and CCA-Maths Club.

HOW ARE SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS TAUGHT IN YOUR SCHOOL?
As a Maths Teacher in school, i would normally prepare printed handouts with examples for my students. Before we start any topic, i will first ask students questions related to the topic and what do they know and understand about that particular topic. I would then distribute the printed handouts to students, explain and discuss with them on the given examples. After completion of discussion and examples, students will copy and try to work out on given exercises. Completed exercises to hand in for marking.
Sometimes i would get students to visit and log in to few website for some Maths activities and games. Students enjoy and love it.
Whereas for Science, as a student from my past i remember we will have our lesson in our classroom or science lab. Most of the time for theory part, we will just stay in our classroom. When comes to practical, we will go to the lab. Doing all the practical work is fun and interesting. I remember my Science's teacher will always remind us on the safety of using all the instruments. She will first explain and show us how to do the practical part then form us into group and go around to show and assists us how to do the particular task.
