Topic : Money
Sub-topic : Make a Dollar.

Year : 7

Objectives :-
        1. Students to drag and place the correct value of money into the answer box.

Step 1
Click on  Measurement under Grade 6 – 8.
And go to Money.

Step 2
Click on Make a Dollar.
Then, click on the New Problem box.
Below you can see there are no dollar notes only coins.
The question below is to place $1 in the answer box.

 Step 3
At this step, we will drag the four pieces of 25¢ to make a total of $1.  To check our answer, we will just click on the check box which shows our answer is correct.

Again same as the others, if we drag the wrong amount of money, it will tell us whether the value of money is not enough or too much.

Finally, last but not least, in summary, it gives students practice in the equivalence of different sets of coins.  For most of the problems, there will be more than one way to make a dollar from the given set of coins. Thus if there are two quarters and a half dollar, 50¢ can be entered with either set. Then after the student clicks Check, it is possible to remove some of the coins and replace them with a set of equal value and Check again.  For students working in pairs, one might make a dollar and then ask her partner if there is another way to make a dollar from the same set.
